Description:
This US 1911 , with the Black Army Finish is , of course, losing a good deal of it's original finish. The good thing about it is that there is no rust or pitting as a result of the finish loss. Not even under the grips. Everything on this pistol appears to be as it was in 1918. Grips, under cut slide stop, under cut thumb safety, MSH, grip safety , two tone magazine and early hammer . The barrel is a USGI Springfield Armory piece, in excellent condition. All of the roll marks are strong and original . The grip area of the frame does NOT have the heart shaped cut outs seen on many 1918 examples. A very hansome example overall.
