This is a super nice, all original, scarce low serial number, M1Garand rifle, made in January of 1941 at the Springfield Arsenal. It is in excellent original condition with most of the greenish parkerizing remaining on the receiver and barrel with the usual silvering on the gas tube. It is my understanding that all the components are correct for 1941, including an SA 1-41 dated barrel and a correct " flush nut" rear sight. The stock appears to be a "long channel" variety with SA GHS and ordnance wheel cartouches somewhat faint but still visible. This is a very early pre Pearl Harbor rifle that stayed in its original configuration for over 80 years!
