Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Despite its appearance, the Reflex is NOT a striker-fired pistol, but is in fact hammer-fired. It uses an internal hammer in a fashion similar to FN’s own Model 1903 pistol, most famously used by Sweden as their primary sidearm (under the name Husqvarna m/1907) between 1917 and 1940. Like the old 1903 pistol, the Reflex operates in the single-action only mode. The Reflex has a noticeably better trigger than the popular Sig Sauer P365, an important factor when one is searching for the self-defense pistol that suits their needs. The better the trigger, the less the likely it is for the shooter to jerk or yank the pistol off target when squeezing the trigger. Most people do not realize how quickly a self-defense can occur and over such a short period of time. Shooting in self-defense is done more with muscle memory than with anything else, so the smoother the trigger, the less likely a mistake will occur. In short, the Reflex’s trigger system provides a smooth, 5-lb. trigger pull. One amazing feature of the Reflex is its width – at a mere 1.0-inch in thickness, it is actually thinner than the P365, if only by a 10th of an inch. Still, this is a remarkable engineering feat. The cold hammer-forged barrel has been target-crowned for improved accuracy. The quality and strength of the barrel is unquestionable – FN produces some of the finest barrels on the planet, and they can withstand an absurd amount of abuse. The chamber and feed ramp are polished to ensure feed reliability. The magazine release is fully reversible, and the front of the frame sports a slim line rail mount for attaching a sub-compact flashlight. Barrel length is 3.3 inches with an overall length of 6.2 inches. Height is a short 4.27 inches. Sight radius is a respectable 5.05 inches. The Reflex comes new in the box with one 11-round magazine and one 15-round magazine.
