James L. Batson masterpiece "ALAMO," Southwest style Bowie with a 10-3/8" high carbon sttel blade from 1-1/8" stock and over 2-1/2" at the widest part, rare iron guard with half penny finial and flat balls terminal, leather covered red cedar sheaht. Blade and guard are "Forged Fire Finished" as was the original. A leather fringe at the top acts as a headdress of the scabbard and the front is ornamented with red, white and turquuoise beadwork. The pattern consists of two rows of turquoise diamonds running vertically down the sheath on a white background. Provenance letter, comes with the original 1989 catalog, This is one-of-a-kind knife from this extremely talented Master Smith and his masterpiece of all the knives he has ever completed.,(book shown in the background in the first picture is sold-out).
