Batson's "Black Beauty" made in 1985 is a single piece of Damascus steel blade that is 7-1/8" by 1-1/2" at the widest part , overall is 12-1/4" with two ebony scales inletted and riveted to the full tang constructed knife with two German silver rivets, the leather scabbard is bound with silver wires.The horsehead Damascus pommel is the very first one, and only such specimen ever produced by this extremely talented badesmith; it is indeed a Black Beauty.
