Extremely scarce, and one of the finest ever produced William P. Bagwell's original "Hell's Belle" Presentation Gentleman's Bowie Knife from 1969. Engraving by Master Engraver the late great E. C. Prudhomme,(1911-1990 ) in 1972 , mounts, guard, escutcheon, pommel. Blade marked on right side with the rare "B" initial at the ricasso. Ten-and-a quarter clipped point blade by 1-7/8-inch wide, from 1/4-inch 1040 steel stock, 14-7/8-inches overall length, denotes a brightly mirror polished finish, and a sharpened false edge, fancy "S" shaped brass crossguard, large oblong escutcheon embedded in the American walnut grip, brass butt cap. No sheath was ever made for this knife. A photocopy of catalog # 2 comes with the knife. Sold "AS IS." All sales are final. No trade.
