Description:
This is a fine example of a "cottage made" Pennsylvania Kentcky style 1\2 stock percussion rifle. Made in the Mid 1800s n Built  around a Henry Parker lightly engraved lock ( a well known lock maker ) of the period. It has a very Heavy  octagon  .42 cal barrel. It has  a very good rifled bore with some light pitting. The lock  strong and works perfectly The barrel is 30" long the rifle is 45" overall.'  The stock Is good and sound I looks like it might be cherry? and has some nice figureing. The hardware is brass with an in stock patch box and pretty Triggerguard.  The butt stock has a very curved brass butt plate. Overall this is in above average condition And would be a fine addition to any collection of early american arms.  It looked great over my fire place for over 50 years.  Feel free to e-mail me any questions!
