WWII US Postal Meter M-1 Carbine. 18 inch barrel marked Inland 11/43 with flaming bomb 15 round magazine marked "U" .Very Good stock with Italian cartouche markings shown in pics at sling cut, (Fabrica d'Armi a Terni. After the war, we armed the Italians. Those carbines underwent a rebuild at the Italian military arsenal. A number of them wound up being sold thru the US CMP.) Vintage sling and oiler, Flat bolt, Shiny-bore with strong rifling. Rare U marking on Reciever denotes this carbine is one of 50,000 made with Union Switch and Signal subcontracted receivers . Barrel marked A 6/52. Own a fun shooting piece of American WWII history. Made in the USA.
