Ed Brown Express .375 H&H Magnum. Serial 9072 wears a 24-inch tapering heavy sporter barrel with a .675-inch muzzle diameter, recessed crown, hooded ramp front sight with serrated face and large white bead, banded sling swivel stud and an adjustable ERA island rear sight with a notched express leaf. Features include a spiral-fluted bolt body, three-position safety, tuned trigger and a drop box magazine. Talley bases are attached. STOCK: The premium synthetic stock features impressed checkering and pebbled surface (for a positive grip), Monte Carlo comb, cheek rest and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The action beds on twin aluminum pillars and the barrel is floated ahead of the recoil lug. FEEDING: Capacity is four plus one. Action dimensions are snug, but a fifth round pressed down feeds in controlled-round fashion. Snap over function of the extractor is smooth. Feeding/extraction/ejection are positive. It is important to note that unique extractor design "snaps over" the cartridge rims as they rise from the magazine and provides true controlled round feeding. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.8 inches. CONDITION: Range tested but never taken afield, it is know to be little fired. The bore is pristine. Both metal and stock finishes are approximately 99 percent with but trace evidence of handling. No box, papers or build information is present. The price is firm and layaway is available. $4,500 plus shipping.
