Description:
Mint condition 1956 Husqvarna 1640 rifle for sale with HVA improved Mauser 98 pattern action. The stock is gorgeous, oil-finished walnut with beautifully inlaid beechwood diamonds on the sides of the recieiver and the wrist behind the action. The rifle has a jeweled extractor and perfect, hand cut checkering on the grip and fore-end. All metal is highly polished and free of any corrosion or pitting. It is fitted with an ebony forend cap, horn grip cap and recoil pad, all with snow-white spacers. I would be surprised if 20 rounds were fired through this rifle since new as it presents like brand new without a mark on it. For those who know rifles, these are considered second only to the pre-'64 Winchester in terms of desirability, quality and utility. Shooting this rifle is like stepping into a time capsule and being transported back to the days of hand-crafted rifles made from old-growth walnut and highly-polished machined steel to last a lifetime.
