About Us: Private Collector of high conditioned quality handguns

Description:
Here is another beauty from my private collection. These were bought just for me to collect and enjoy. It is my hobby and all makes and models in my collection were required to be in incredible "like new" condition for me to purchase.  I am not a gun dealer, but I recently decided to gradually sell off my "babies" in my large collection since I have no one to leave them to and can't take them with me. I love them all so it is hard to let go of any of them after often searching for years to find the "special one" to make me happy!

This is my blued Colt Detective Special with the 2 inch barrel and Colt original checkered service grips with silver medallions. Serial number search shows there was a Detective Special with this number in 1964 AND 1966! I believe this is a 1964. It is in the correct Colt box with documents, trigger tag and cylinder guard. I purchased this gun as "unfired after the factory". Looking at the firing pin area, the firing cone and the lack of burned carbon rings on the face of the cylinder made me believe it to be true. I have never put a bullet in the gun and it has always been stored in a humidity controlled environment since purchased. I believe the condition to be easily rated at 99% but you decide from the detailed photos. I can hardly even see any turn line at all. Oil was removed to eliminate too much shine in photos, and to better show the metal condition. The grips are serial numbered to the gun and show a little color wear here and there, but in great shape with sharp checkering. Feel free to call and ask questions for an honest answer. I practice the Golden Rule in life and don't want anyone unhappy with their purchase.

Anyone asking to return the gun, must do the inspection with the FFL dealer present at all time as a witness during the entire inspection and before you take ownership and leave the dealer's presence. The gun should NOT BE DRY FIRED, creating a turn line on this gun, or voids any options of return. The gun cannot be returned once it leaves the presence of the FFL dealer. If returned, all advertising fees, FFL fees, and shipping in both directions would be the expense of the Buyer. Like any gun store, there is no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied on the purchase of a firearm. If you plan to shoot any collector's gun that has been stored for many years and possibly never fired, it is advised you have a gunsmith inspect it first.
