CIVIL WAR ORIGINAL COLT U.S. MODEL 1860 PERCUSSION ARMY .44 CAL. REVOLVER IN THE KENTUCKY CAV. VOLS. SERIAL RANGE. Six shot with 8’ barrel with excellent address stamp (ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA). Serial numbered in the 119xxx range close in number to many Model 1860’s issued to the 4th Kentucky U.S. Cavalry during the Civil War as recorded in Springfield Armory records now in the National Archives. 100% original and all matching except the cylinder which is a field replacement inspected with the same “HH” Ordnance inspection marks as the barrel. Extra nice sharp markings and all original patina with traces of case hardening on hammer. Very nice “NAVAL ENGAGEMENT” cylinder scene. Original grips with visible cartouches on both sides and the original finish. Working order and very good bore and chambers.
