Description:
Colt, 1849, 31cal belt model, serial #295662 manufactured in 1867. All numbers matching except the wedge, cylinder scene is partially visible, original blue turned to plum brown, 6” barrel, walnut grips with 20% original varnish. Manufactured in 1867, .31 caliber percussion, 5 shot single action revolver, with loading lever, Weight = 27 ounces Cylinder engraved with the Stagecoach Holdup scene. Markings on barrel in one line - ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY. This 49 is in fair condition with a bore that shows as strong rifling. I rate it a 5. There is very light pitting on the cylinder, barrel and frame. The metal surface is smooth throughout. The mechanics in the frame work properly, outdoes not index. The trigger guard and back strap are well patina-ed. The original grips have no cracks. Overall condition fair. This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped WORLD WIDE directly to you.
