We are offering for sale a vintage Savage Model 1899 TAKE DOWN lever action rifle chambered in .300 Savage caliber. This is a very nice example with light general wear from use. VERY ATTRACTIVE RIFLE!
24" barrel is very good to excellent with very nice blued finish. The bore remains bright and clean with crisp rifling. The receiver is very good with some light wear to blued finish. Lever action functions flawlessly and shows some light rubbing in places. Gun functions flawlessly. The shoulder stock is good with some field wear, light dings noted. Fore-end is very good with functioning takedown button. This rifle has been fitted with a "White Line" recoil pad.
