1863 Sharps Civil War New Model battlefield pick-up or barn find coming out of Texas. Pitting on metal as pictures show. Butt stock has been repaired with period nails. SN C 1820 under barrel (also a U) and looks like 1820 on the tang on the top. Barrel 21.5 inches. Rear sight base present but missing the rest. Front sight looks correct. No other markings visible. See new photos added. Action works and trigger holds and falls in both positions. Bore looks pretty decent considering age. Very cool rustic Sharps Carbine. Great display for fire place or wall that will not break the bank! Buyer pays shipping.
