This is an original British WWI 1915 War Office First Pattern Brodie Helmet with U.S. Army Markings. The helmet is camouflage hand painted most likely after the war. The front of the helmet has a brass Army Corp of Engineers insignia and a brass Lieutenant Bar. The is a hand painted U.S. Army of Occupation Patch on the right side and the U.S. Army Railhead and Station Regulating Patch. The helmet has its original liner and chin strap.
