Description:
This is an original French Model 1874 Pattern Gras Sword Bayonet in very nice untouched condition. The bayonet features riveted brass & wooden swollen grips, with the locking lug (working). Metal quillon and muzzle ring showing issue numbers & manufacturer/acceptance stamps. The blade is dated 1876. The blade is serial # 10961 and the scabbard serial # is 44040. The triangular thrusting 20-1/2” long blade is in excellent condition, with no wear and no nicks on the blade.
