Description:
With the country gearing up for wartime production, every arm of American production was conscripted to do their part in the war effort. The Smith Corona typewriter company was recruited to begin producing M1903a3 rifles with the first batch being delivered in OCT 1942. This example is a very early production run with the barrel having an "SC" marking. This marking denotes the 6 rifling pattern given to a small batch of 1903a3's early in production. The rifle is in serviceable condition. Perfect for the collector, sportsman or history buff alike. .30-06 Springfield
