From an old estate and buried away for years. Neat S&W New Departure second model made in 1901. Rare SILVER FINISH. Trigger guard blue, case hardened trigger. Tight, sound and seems to function as it should. Bore has strong rifling with some rough ares however would rate very good. Should be better with a good scubbiing. Some negligible nicks and scratches here and there but again, neglgible. Nicer than my awful pictures. Revolver is tarnished and has not been polished. Letters are strong and clean and I am of the opinion the silver finish is factory original. And, most all of the finish remains. Tiny chip on edge of pearl grip.
A factory letter is pictured. In a shipment of two, this revolver was sent to Schoverling, Dale & Gale in NYC. It was a special order with no finish listed.
Anyawy, silver plating is rare and seldom encountered. Shipped only where legal and to an FFL licensee. Shipping in the lower 48 states will be $35.
