With LEATHER FLAP FIELD HOLSTER
Here we present a C&R German DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Luger Pistol, made circa 1915 in Berlin. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. In 1900 the United States ordered 1,000 Lugers in 7.65x21mm Parabellum, or .30 Luger, for infantry and cavalry trials. The right side of the frame bears faint remnants of German military acceptance marks.
The overall condition is good. Refinished. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. The magazine does not drop free but has to be pulled out. Numbers are mixed. The pistol has a Luger Navy type rear sight. The holster is a nice replica, though the pistol is a little too long to fit well.
