Description:
Remington Model 40-X Target Rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. This is a heavy barrel single shot bolt action bench rifle. The barrel length is 24". There are no sights currently installed. There is factory drilled and tapped holes at mid barrel and at the rear of the receiver. The muzzle has two drilled and tapped holes currently filled with screws as does the front of the receiver. The left side of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled for a sight. It has a one piece stock of smooth walnut with a pistol grip in a professional 4 position target configuration. There is a slotted rail in the forend for accessories. The left edge of the stock has a slight ding in the wood also found on the right side. There are a few occasional marks and scratches. There is no sign of abuse. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2" from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber recoil pad. The finish is blue and the the bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The action functions correctly and features a nice wide target trigger. .22 Long Rifle
