This Savage Arms Model 1899 is a lever-action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester. It is notable for being one of the earliest rifles to feature its rotary magazine, which allowed it to chamber and feed cartridges more smoothly than tube-fed lever action rifles. This particular Model 1899 was manufactured in 1911, which is in exceptional condition for its age. It shows signs of wear, with bluing loss on the underside of the receiver and your normal scratches on the wood.
