Description:
This 1968 over/under shotgun is a Belgium Browning Superposed Lightning chambered in 12 Gauge (2¾ inch shells). It has the 32-inch barrel (rare in the Lightning model), a ⅝ inch wide Broadway serrated ventilated rib, an ivory white front bead sight, a smaller ivory white mid-bead sight, a thick Browning factory reddish-brown ventilated rubber butt pad with white and black spacers, a Flat Knob pistol grip, a gold trigger, a diamond checkered beavertail fore arm, and a 14⅜ inch LOP. It has hand scroll engraving on the boxlock action body, trigger guard, and tang. The bottom of the action body has "Lightning" in script, "BROWNING", and a portrait of John Moses Browning. The top barrel is choked Full (*) and the bottom is Improved Modified (*-). The overall length is 49 inches. The bluing is in excellent condition with only some minor light wear where the fore arm moves up about half an inch onto the bottom barrel during disassembly. The high-gloss wood finish is likewise in excellent condition with no noticeable wear marks, handling wear or scratches observable. 12 Gauge
