This is an interesting Norwegian flintlock short rifle. The overall length is approx. 44.25"". The approx. 29"" round approx. 73 caliber barrel has an excellent bore with strong, bright rifling. All metal is bright with light staining. The barrel has a script K (Kongsberg Arsenal) and two small inspectors marks (1 and and a symbol).  The brass front sight is mounted on an approx. .5"" X 1"" block. The two=leaf rear sight is mounted on an approx. .75"" X 2.25"" block. The lower leaf is graduated to 300 and the long leaf has two apertures and a top notch graduated to 600. The lock, which features a round brass pan and a dog type safety, is unmarked. The brass trigger guard, butt plate, side plate, thimbles, and nose cap are very good with an even patina. The stock is good with issue dents and dings and a crack repair. The swivels and massive ramrod are present. The action functions properly.
