Description:
Special order 28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 45-70 caliber with full length magazine tube. Bright shiny excellent bore. Original sights includes a Lyman beaded blade front and flip up ladder "1886" marked rear. Barrel and mag tube retain about 90% thinning blue starting to dull slightly. Case hardened receiver has about 10-20% original case colors with the balance turning a nickel color. Vivid blue on the bolt. Nice case color on the hammer and lever. Semi-deluxe grade wood in fine condition with a little extra varnish added. Very nice probably 2x grade,wood. Traces of case color on the buttplate as well. Crisp tight action. Comes complete with a copy of a Factory Letter.
