Description:
26 inch octagon barrel chambered in 45-70 caliber with full length mag tube. Bright shiny bore. Original sights include a German silver blade front and flip up ladder "1886" marked rear. Barrel and mag retain about 75% original blue starting to plum. The receiver is turning somewhat dark but still shows 25-30% case color. Hammer and lever show case color as well. Walnut stocks have a few handling mars and dings but still retains most original varnish. Rifle style buttplate. Of the period sling swivels. Crisp tight action. Not a bad old gun made in 1890.
