Description:
Jim Kobe, a gunsmith and member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild, asked me to post this rifle for him. This is a true Supergrade with all the correct parts.
The gun started out as a true fsctory 300 H&H Supergrade. The barrel is not original to this gun. It was sourced from a collector and is an original 300 H&H barrel. The bore is excellent and the bluing is about 98%. It has the original front sight with hood and the original rear sight. Jim checked the chamber with a casting as well as the headspace, and all are good.
The bottom metal is correct for a Supergrade. The stock is original but has been cut to fit a red pad, with a resulting LOP of 13 1/2". The Supergrade checkering remains crisp, and the stock has both Supergrade sling swivel bases intact.
If you've wanted a pre-64 Supergrade 300 H&H buy don't want to pay what a pristine original goes for in today's market, this rifle will fill that niche nicely.
