It has a 24" triple-checked button rifled half round/half octagon barrel with deeply blued finish, a fixed brass beaded bladed front sight, a butterfly U-notch adjustable Buckhorn rear sight, a tang mounted safety, Grade V/VI walnut pistol grip stock with cut checkering and satin oil finish, a classic style diamond checkered Walnut forearm with black cap, radiused lever edges, round locking bolt trunnions, a bolt relief cut, a steel loading gate, an articulated cartridge stop, and a drilled and tapped receiver. The Winchester (Miroku) 1894s are better made and better finished than its competition, the Marlin 336XLR. The radiused loading gate makes for exceptionally smooth and easy loading. The bluing on this rifle's metal surfaces is in immaculate condition, with no noticeable marks or any handling wear.
