***SOLD*** Outstanding and rarely seen Pre War Model 12 Skeet Grade with matching extra barrel! S/N 874454 is a great example of a special order Model 12 Skeet grade 2 barrel set. Manufactured in 1941, it features a 26" raised matted rib (solid rib) barrel choked WS-1, is stamped SKEET on the bottom of the receiver, and has a select deluxe checkered fancy pistol grip stock to Winchester buttplate with matching forearm. Additionally, it was ordered with a matching S/N, easily interchangeable 30" raised matted rib (solid rib) barrel with Full choke, and its matching select checkered forearm. This shotgun is in excellent condition throughout, showing strong and bright 96% original finishes as currently assembled with the 30" full choke barrel. The WS-1 barrel assembly appears to have seen a bit more use, but still presents very well with about 95% finish on average. The bores and machanical functions are all excellent.
The safety has been upgraded with a period made larger finger pad version, which required no alteration and can be put back to the original style in minutes with a readily available and inexpensive part if so inclined.
An overall great find, and one you will seldom see offered, especially in Skeet grade with matching # solid rib barrels!
