Description:
This is a third model rifle manufactured in 1894 38-40 caliber. The barell is 24”, is a full octagon style and full-length magazine tube. It does not have the Winchester proof mark stamped on the barell or receiver. The lever and two screws on the receiver were nickel plated from the factory along with the standard butt plate. The receiver and hammer show traces of case color hardening. The finish is developing a nice patina. There are typical handling marks on the lever and receiver. Overall, the rifle is in great condition. The action is smooth. The barell is shiny.
