Description:
Colt Government 70 Series Model 1911 Special Edition, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Serial Number 87265B70. This is made in 1982 by the Colt custom shop 0395. The pistol is fitted with a 5-inch barrel, fixed sights, smooth Colt Custom Rosewood grips, serrated arched main spring housing, is blue finished, and chambered in .45 ACP. Markings: The right side of the slide has gold inlay scroll engravings with an Officer standing next to a cruiser, police Helicopter, and the Seal for the County of Los Angeles. The left side of the slide is marked “LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SPECIAL EDITION” along with a bit of gold scroll engraving and a nice border. The pistol is in excellent shape like new and comes with its original Oak presentation case. There is no shipping box, but some paperwork.
