RARE J. PURDEY & SONS SINGLE SHOT .22 HORNET / 20 GAUGE 2 ½” TWO BARREL SHOTGUN RIFLE . Circa 1893 production serial numbered in the 14,xxx range and all matching including both barrels. Both barrels with Audley House address. 27” tapered octagon barrel sleeved to .22 Hornet caliber and nitro proofed. 3 leaf rear and bead front sights. 26 ½” octagon/round 20 gauge, full choke shotgun barrel. All original as rifle barrel sleeved later and excellent plus with 98-99% blue and lightly fading case colors. Stock and forend with the original finish. Working order and excellent bores.
