An Early Civil War Military Issued "H. Aston Model 1842 Percussion Pistol" In Excellent Condition. All original and complete. The Pistol has excellent metal, markings, and edges on it. The lock is marked, "U.S./H.ASTON" in front of the lock ans "Middtn/Conn/1847 at the rear. The barrel is marked, "U.S./NWP/P AND IS DATED 1848. Some parts are U.S. Sub Inspected. The barrel, and hammer have a wonderful natural mellow color to them with the lock showing some original light colors left on it. The brass hardware on the pistol is excellent and crisp throughout. All screws are excellent. All the wood on the pistol is excellent throughout with very crisp edges.There is a very clear "U.S. Inspectors Cartouche" on the backside of the wood opposite the lock. It has a very tight as new action and excellent bore. This Is An Excellent And Untouched Example Of A U.S. Civil War Military Issued "H. Aston Model 1842 Percussion Pistol". H. Aston Pistols In This Excellent Condition Are Very Hard To Come By!
