Description:
The Winchester Model 88 was introduced in 1955 and was made until 1973. The serial number puts this receiver in 1957. The stock pattern would place this rifle pre 64, chambered in .243 Winchester which is a great whitetail cartridge. The .243 Win is very close performance-wise to the 6 mm Creedmoor, but has a lot more reloading and bullet weight options available for reloaders. With no flip up rear sights but does come with one inch scope rings, also the previous owner put on a Pachmayr recoil pad. .243 Winchester
