Aside from being built in the most popular and versatile caliber/configuration of any Model 70 ever produced (that being 30-06 with a Monte Carlo stock), it is also in very high condition and has the benefit of some fancy grain figure in the stock. This S/N 258640 with matching bolt was made in 1953. It is a standard weight rifle with 24" barrel. It is in extremely nice shape, showing 98% original Blue and Varnish with all correct components. The insides are like brand new: Very clean with no structural cracks, no barrel channel alterations, no glass bedding, etc. It has a mirror bore and flawless mechanics.
This would be the perfect rifle for someone looking to enter the game without breaking the bank, or even a seasoned collector looking to increase or upgrade their current inventory.
