Mid-1800s SIDEHAMMER Manufactured in LONDON
Here we present an antique Cased and Engraved “EXTRA QTY” Marked Percussion Pistol, manufactured circa the mid-19th century in London, England. This type of pistol was popular during the early to mid-1800s in the early years of the United States, as well as Europe. It is single shot and has a petite silhouette with a long octagonal barrel. The bulbous grip is solid ivory. It is nicely engraved. Cocking of the hammer makes the trigger to come down for use. It comes in a very nicely fitted, felt-lined case.
The overall condition is very good. Original finish and patina. The action is excellent. The nipple is chipped. The bore is smooth and also patinated. The grip is solid and shows the typical yellowing and lines of antique ivory.
