***SOLD*** Here's a good looking Model 70 in the super versatile and quite scarce 257 Roberts caliber. There were less than 15,000 units made in this caliber representing only 2 1/2 percent of total Pre 64 Model 70 production. A fantastic all around cartridge that can be used for everything from small varmints to medium/big game with almost no felt recoil. Perfect for wives, teens, or seasoned veterans who've figured out they can get the job done just fine without having their retinas detached. S/N 137669 with matching bolt made in 1950. Low comb stock with correct components present. 24" barrel with excellent bore and excellent mechanics. Overall external condition is very good showing original finishes with a light cleaning, no cracks, along with very clean and unaltered internals. I would rate at 96% or so. Not as pristine as some of my offerings, but a very solid and plenty sharp rifle in the somewhat difficult to find 257 Roberts caliber for under 3 grand...and that's not something you'll see every day.
