Description:
For sale is a beautiful BSA Lee Enfield No. 5 Mk. I Jungle Carbine chambered in .303 British. The left side of the buttsocket is marked "M47C 1947" which denotes production at the BSA Shirley Plant in 1947. This rifle is in overall good-very good condition, however it does appear to have been refinished at some point during its lifetime. All of the markings and proofs are still clear. There is some minor finish wear on some of the hardware and at the muzzle, as seen in the pictures. The wood is absolutely gorgeous and is in very good-excellent condition. This carbine has matching BK3374 serial numbers on the receiver, stock, and bolt handle. The 18-3/4" barrel has a very nice bore with strong rifling. Overall, this Enfield variant is a wonderful piece of British military history that would make a fine addition to any collection. It comes from a large estate of British military rifles, many of which will be listed in the very near future. Feel free to call or text with any questions or for more pictures.
