Here is a fine William Ford 12 gauge boxlock ejector, completed in 1903. The barrels are 29" with 2 1/2" chambers and excellent bores, choked .005/.025 (about skeet/improved modified). The tubes are engraved: WILLIAM FORD. 15 ST. MARY'S ROW. BIRMINGHAM. (The engraving is rubbed and no easily legible). The tubes have been professionally reblacked. The gun locks up tight. The action features best quality border and scroll engraving, with carved acanhus leaf fences. There are intercepting sears. The fore-end has an Anson push-rod release. The figured stock has recessed, checkered side-panels, and measures 1 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 14 5/8" over a checkered butt. There is CAST ON (for a left hand shot). The weight is 6 lbs 5 oz. The gun comes in a vintage brass-cornered leather case with a reproduction William Ford label. A high quality bird gun.
