Description:
For sale is a very nice World War I era Eddystone Model 1917 rifle chambered in .30-06.  The flaming bomb ordnance insignia is present on the left side of the receiver, the bolt handle, and the barrel.  The barrel is also marked 9-18 indicating production in September of 1918.  The rifle is in overall good-very good condition with the usual light dings and mild abrasions consistent with its many years of service.  All of the original proofs and markings remain strong and clear.  The 26" barrel has a very nice bore with strong rifling.  The action is smooth and everything functions as it should.  The stock is also in good condition and presents very well.  This rifle includes a matching bayonet in good-very good condition with a 17" single edge blade.  The bayonet is also marked with the flaming bomb ordnance insignia and "1917".  Overall, this rifle is a fine example of US Military history that would make an excellent addition to any firearm collection.  Feel free to call or text with any questions or for more pictures.
