Description:
Serial #3916, .455 Webley, 4" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has traces of freckling within the grooves towards the breech. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder, with the metal retaining virtually all of an expertly reapplied blue finish that has left the edges and markings crisp and clear. "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. Ld. / LONDON. W" is engraved along the topstrap, and an armorial crest depicting the head of a Griffin is present at the top of the backstrap, just below the hammer. The finely checkered, modern walnut grips are in excellent shape and exhibit almost no wear or flattening of the points. The lock-up is rock-solid, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a truly handsome Mk. IV Webley, and is in excellent restored condition. FFL or C&R
