Description:
Serial #123212, .38 Colt, 4 1/2" barrel with a good bore that has some minor freckling and pitting within the grooves. This is a 1901-made revolver that has all matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, trigger guard, and backstrap, with the metal having an overall mottled dark gray patina, and traces of original blue on protected areas. Additionally, there are small spots of freckling and pinprick pitting on the barrel, rear of the frame, on the sides of the hammer, and the front sight blade has been regulated. The checkered, hard rubber grips are in very good-near fine shape, and have minor wear and flattening of the points on either side. The action still locks up tightly, and is fully functional in both single and double-action. This is a very good-near fine example of a desirable Colt Lightning overall. FFL or C&R
