Description:
This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .40-65 black powder ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 260 grain lead bullets. The two piece, round corner, front seal box is a circa 1903 and was available until just after WWI showing a prominent call out for the model 1886 Winchester. The box is solid with some minor edge separation on the bottom corners having a near excellent top and side label faded from green to a more yellow appearance with a very nice cartridge cut showing some flaking and rub wear. The cartridges are in excellent condition with 18 appearing native to the box and two "W.R.A. Co."having soft point loading. A seldom seen box in a hard to find caliber.
