Description:
For your consideration, an Ithaca M1911A1 chambered in .45 ACP. Frame markings consist of the FJA cipher of Army Ordnance Inspector, Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood, and a "P" proof mark by the magazine release. The "P" is duplicated in the slide ahead of the rear sight, as would be period correct. The original "United States Property" inscription has been milled off, and the piece shows signs of having been refinished. The magazine is Colt marked. This piece dates to 1944. .45 ACP
