Description:
This circa 1981 J frame double action satin stainless steel revolver is a Smith & Wesson Model 63 Kit Gun chambered in .22 Long Rifle. It has a six-round fluted counterbored cylinder, a 4" pinned barrel with serrated top rib, a ⅛ inch red serrated ramp on elevated ramp base front sight, a black stainless adjustable rear sight, a serrated curved trigger, a non-shrouded ejector rod, and has checkered Magna walnut grips with Smith & Wesson emblems. The Model 63 was S&W's first stainless steel J-Frame kit gun introduced in 1977 and made until 1998. Also known as the .22 Kit Gun, the Smith & Wesson Model 63 has been popular for many years with campers, hikers and those wanting a small .22 LR double action revolver for plinking. The Model 63 is one of those little revolvers that beg to be taken to the practice range. It feels great to hold due to the slim round-back grip which is extended just enough to give all three shooting hand fingers a place to rest. .22 Long Rifle
