Description: This 1959 semi-automatic shotgun is a Browning Belgium Light Twelve chambered in 12 Gauge (2¾" shells). It has a round silver bead front sight, a 29½" textured ventilated rib barrel, a smooth gold trigger, a diamond checkered round knob pistol grip stock, a rear-of-the-receiver safety selector button, an engraved receiver and tang, and a black plastic Browning butt plate (missing a chip). There is a magazine cutoff on the left front of the receiver and a bolt release on the right side of the receiver. The top of the rib is finely checkered and the top of the receiver is serrated to reduce glare. This shotgun appears to have been re-blued. The bluing is in good condition, with some traces of freckling on both sides of receiver. The wood is in good condition overall, with some handling marks to the lower left side of the fore arm, and some light handling marks throughout the butt stock. There are no observable chips or cracks. The black plastic Browning butt plate has a chunk missing. (see photos) The Browning A-5 is a recoil-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed by John Browning. This shotgun was the first mass-produced semi-automatic shotgun. Designed by John Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900, it was produced continually for almost 100 years by several makers with production ending in 1998. Firearms don't get much more iconic than John Moses Browning's legendary Auto-5 semi-auto shotgun. 12 Gauge SOLD Chambers: 2¾ inch chamber Metal Condition: "Shotgun appears to have been re-blued, bluing is in good condition, with some traces of freckling on both sides of receiver Wood Condition: "Wood is in good condition, with some handling marks to the lower left side of the fore arm, and some light handling marks throughout the butt stock; there are no observable cracks or chips Bore Condition: Bore is bright and shiny Barrels: 29½ inch textured ventilated rib barrel Triggers: Smooth gold trigger Stock Dimensions: "14½ inch LOP, overall length 49 inches Fore End: Diamond checkered round sculpted fore arm Butt Pad: Black plastic Browning butt plate (Damaged) Weight: 7 LB 12 OZ Sights: Round silver bead front sight Chokes: Full choke barrel Item Location: Wichita, KS |
