J P Sauer & Sons, Suhl, Germany; 16 ga Hammer Gun
This is a very nice little 16-gauge hammer gun in very nice condition. It has 2 ½” chambers that have the forcing cones extended for 2 ¾” shells. The bores are perfect in the 29” Krupp steel barrels which retain 100% of the original dark blue. The gun locks up tight and the barrels ring like a bell. The stock has a few dings but still rates very good. It has a cheek piece stock, is fitted with sling swivels and a blued steel butt plate. Cocked hammers are below the sighting plane. The action has no rust or corrosion and most of the original case colors, but they have drifted to brown.
