This 98 AZ Mauser, I converted to scout with steel, no drill no tap scope mount I designed, installed 8 1/2 pounds with nickels magnum EER, scope, but can be brought back to original,conditions very good,boar,shoots very excellent groups! This is the scout concept is you can shoulder your gun look through the scope and then look all around without your eye against the scope very handy for quick shots designed for serious rugged hunting use, it's got battle scars from 106 years ago this gun weighs over a pound less than the war 2 k98 and with a 24" barrel it's better made.
