Offered for sale is an original finish example of the super rare USMC Model 1909 Colt. The USMC purchased 1300 of these as a replacement for the .38 Caliber service pistols. The USMC M1909 is one of the hardest to find US Martial arms. The Marine Corps was typically under funded and had to make the most of all its arms and equipment. To find one of these with any original finish is quite difficult. Most are completely browned out from heavy use and holster time. This pistol is all matching to include the numbered grips. The bore is actually mint.
