Description:
The Marlin 410 was manufactured as a way to attract investors in The Marlin Company stock. If you purchased four $25 shares of stock, you got a shotgun. About 5-6000 of these were produced from 1929-34. The original list price of these was $30, but early in the depression no one had any cash anyway. The firearm itself is based upon the Marlin 1886 action with mod's to fit the cartridge. There is little on the gun to identify it beyond the S/N stamp and the manufacturer's stamp "Marlin 410."
